I promised and update and here it is (albeit a few years late :-)). I've had a great experience with Afrihost. I think they provide value for your money and the speeds are good! Recently signed up for Afrihost fibre to the home (pure fiber 10/10) through vumatel. Very easy setup and installation. I collected the router and set it up myself at home with help via WhatsApp. Friendly and helpful staff on the WhatsApp helpline. Need to test speed once all my devices are up and running. But so far so good! Long may it last. My only issue and the reason for the 3 star rating and not 5 stars is that I had to follow-up on every step from confirming they had the right info with vumatel to my router being ready for collection. These are simple things to keep a client updated about. I shouldn't have to call the helpline for this. I will update my review once I have tested the speed.

Best internet service provider. Four years of excellent service at my previous resident and now seamless reapplication process. Afrihost are head and shoulders above any other fibre service provider.

I needed assistance with reactivation my domain name and Winnie M via Whatsapp chat, she was efficient in assisting and provided me with the info that I needed to proceed. Kudos to Afrihost for not using robots to assist on Whatsapp 🌟

Everything was easy to do, even when I got stuck got assisted by Portia M on chat and was relieved after the step by step process of assistance. Can't wait to use the services as my sister's son card arrived and everything is there as shown.

I have been with Afrihost for more than 5 years. Their customer focus is unmatched. In 2020 I transferred one of my domains away from Afrihost to another service provider. Within a few months I regretted leaving Afrihost. The customer service at this new service provider was very poor, sometimes it would take a day for them to respond to queries and the only channel to lodge a query was through email. Granted, their hosting package that I wanted was a bit cheaper by about R100. I soon learned that with some services you get what you pay for. I made a decision to transfer my domain back to Afrihost for great quality of service and I'm not trusting anyone with my webhosting needs for now. Afrihost are my go to guys, where I know that issues are attended to speedily. Keep up the great service guys!

The online whatsapp help line was fantastic and it's amazing to speak to a person and not a computer generated program, although those have their place. Was just fantastic and now we don't have to wait for someone to come to us.
