Speeds and latency are dependent on a variety of factors such as number of devices connected and signal strength. Average speeds remain device and coverage dependent.
The MTN (Pure LTE) network averages up to 40Mbps on 4G and 246Mbps on 5G.
The Vodacom network averages up 35Mbps on 4G and up to 200Mbps on 5G.
The Telkom network averages up to 40Mbps on 4G.
The Wireless service is designed to be used at your home, and the SIM card will be locked to the location you provide and your Wireless services will only work at this location.
No! At Afrihost, we don't lock you into outlandish contractual commitments. All our packages are month-to-month and can be easily cancelled if you change your mind.
All Wireless packages are charged pro-rata. Data will also be allocated pro-rata.
For example, if you sign up halfway through the month you will pay half the price and receive half the data for the rest of the month.
Your SIM card should be active within 30 minutes after delivery. In extreme cases it can take up to 48 hours, but this is highly unlikely. Should you have trouble connecting after 30 minutes, please reboot your device and try to connect again. Please contact our Support team if you do not have a connection after 48 hours.

Your Pure Wireless (MTN) SIM card is only compatible with the device supplied with your order. For SIM Only packages, only the following approved CAT6 devices will work with your Pure Wireless (MTN) SIM card. Please note that you also need to be in the MTN Network coverage area.
Your Vodacom SIM card is only compatible with the device supplied with your order. For SIM Only packages, only the following approved CAT6 devices will work with your Vodacom Wireless SIM card. Please note that you also need to be in the Vodacom Network coverage area.
Your Telkom SIM card is only compatible with the device supplied with your order. Please note that you also need to be in the Telkom Network coverage area.
SIM + Device orders - We will preconfigure the device that is shipped with your SIM card - so you do not need to change any APN settings.
SIM Only - If you will be using your new SIM card with your own device, please visit setup.afrihost.com for instructions on how to get connected. In some cases you’ll have to change the Access Point Name (APN) settings on your device, depending on the Wireless provider you signed up for.
Yes. All Wireless packages can be upgraded or downgraded in ClientZone.
Note that package changes will only be effective on the 1st of the following month, regardless of when in the month the request is made or whether it is an upgrade or downgrade. This is a restriction from our providers.
Pure Wireless (MTN) anytime and night time data will roll over for 30 days.
Vodacom Wireless anytime data will roll over for 30 days.
Telkom Wireless in-bundle anytime data rolls over for 30 days. Night time data does NOT roll over.
Pure Wireless (MTN) - Anytime top up data will roll over for 30 days from purchase.
Vodacom Wireless - Anytime top up data will roll over for 30 days from purchase.
Telkom Wireless - Anytime top up data expires 60 days from purchase. Night Time top up data expires 30 days from purchase.
