I promised and update and here it is (albeit a few years late :-)). I've had a great experience with Afrihost. I think they provide value for your money and the speeds are good!
Recently signed up for Afrihost fibre to the home (pure fiber 10/10) through vumatel. Very easy setup and installation. I collected the router and set it up myself at home with help via WhatsApp. Friendly and helpful staff on the WhatsApp helpline. Need to test speed once all my devices are up and running. But so far so good! Long may it last. My only issue and the reason for the 3 star rating and not 5 stars is that I had to follow-up on every step from confirming they had the right info with vumatel to my router being ready for collection. These are simple things to keep a client updated about. I shouldn't have to call the helpline for this. I will update my review once I have tested the speed.

Afrihost has been managing my mobile resources and home wifi for quite a few years now and I have always had a good experience. I ported my number from one of the 'big two' cellular service providers who didn't give good customer service, and have never looked back. Calls are cheaper for me. And my account is essentially prepaid unlike the 2 year contracts I used to have.

If there was a 10 star rating Afrihost support would get it . When dealing with the consultants I feel so at easeand regardless of what the issue is they always solve it. Thank you for the best helpdesk and support. Keep up the fanatics service.

I was assisted by Lethukuthula. I didn't know half of what I was being asked to do, but he/she took the time to send me screenshots of what they were referencing making the process of my troubleshooting easier. As he/she couldn't assist me, in finding what the problem with my line is, not only die he/she escalate my problem, but also informed it as a priority as I explained I work from home and need my line without issues as I have to log into a Vietnam server to do my work. Our whole chat took an hour to get through with all the screenshots and him/her waiting for me patiently, I never once felt like I was dumb for not understanding the process. He/She is the perfect example of how Customer Care agents should treat EVERYONE. With Patience, respect, kindness, and a friendly demeaner.
