I have been dealing with them since 2H 2018 when I joined them to host my website. I developed and set up my website myself. I mostly Googled what to do. When I got stuck their support people gave me advice. Not their job or responsibility! Yet they are there when help is needed.
Just this week, I got stuck setting up my email account on my new Laptop. Again! Not their responsibility, yet I have been helped!
I am on Afrihost fibre service as well for about 5 months now (2022). Had an Internet problem this morning which was not on their side. Yet, their support stuck with me, and helped me to get it sorted.
Judging by comments on social media, and from experience with my previous Internet service provider, I can only imagine the response from other service providers. "All is OK on our side sir". ie Sort out your own bloody problem.
Not with Afrihost!

More fan-girling from me about Afrihost. I resolved three separate queries with Gershom M over Whatsapp. If you're an introvert and your internet isn't with Afrihost what even are you doing? 🤔😂 This team is a WFH freelancers dream. Thanks guys!

Quick whatsap responses - usually able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue - but sadly today wasn’t a router issue but an a dual line issue which has to be routed to the vumatel provider to investigate and correct

So far, great experience with Afrihost. Customer care has always been available in a timely manner, unlike some other ISPs. Using LTE and pleasantly surprised with overnight delivery, quick access to internet at 100mbps.

I have been with afrihost for more than 3-years now. Today I received the best service.
Today I interacted with Khanyisile M regarding an issue that has been longstanding. I have had
numerous interactions with other support personnel( yes I got assisted, they always offer good service) but today I got the service I didn’t even know I needed. The greatest in my humble opinion.
Khanyisile M displayed professionalism with good expert knowledge, skills and communication skills. The troubleshooting took time but was worth it, Khanyisile was there every step of the way. I even had to update the device software
and Khanyisile was still keeping the whatsapp chat session active, talk about relentless.
We got a whiff of that the issue could be and the matter was escalated to a senior then to another company. I was then provided with advice on the way forward along with the reference number (for the call logged with the other company).
Khanyisile M is a star! 😊☺️If only Khanyisile M could get a promotion! Or at least handle training of the support personnel! All companies need a Khanyisile M!
I am pleased with Afrihost, they have good coverage with exceptional areas(deep deep rural areas), hopefully they’ll expand.
