I’ve used Afrihost for longer than I can remember. I’ve used them for adsl lines back in the day and then vdsl (I actually tested their fair use policy and made it on the top 10 highest data users in the country and not shaped or throttled once on a 20Mb vdsl line) I’ve used them for small businesses and I’ve been with their mobile data plan for years now and working in the IT industry, I’ve dealt with a lot of service providers and as a data provider.
I HIGHLY recommend Afrihost to everyone and anyone who has mtn! Use Afrihost data!
One down side is that they rely on third party companies (helkom, frogfoot and whoever) almost all the issues I’ve had are with the physical providers.
And Afrihost support has always been extremely helpful even with dealing with third parties like telkom.

The smoothest fibre installation I have ever experienced. We signed up, a technician installed the fibre and our wifi was done! When we had internet trouble on a Sunday and the Whatsapp help chat was amazingly helpful and they fixed my internet. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend Afrihost for you wifi needs!
For GOOGLE To TRACK
Two years ago I wrote a 3 star review but things have changed since then. When I signed up in 2019, the LTE connectivity was excellent even during loadshedding and stayed that way for a little over a year. Then there was an MTN network outage in January 2021, and after that I had almost zero connectivity during long blackouts, which impacted my productivity. That's when I wrote the 3-star review.
I don't know what they did to solve the problem, but around January 2022 the connectivity was as good as it was during loadshedding when I first signed up.
After about two years they rewarded my loyalty to them by doubling my monthly data allocation with ZERO price increase, and my router was paid off as well so my monthly instalment actually decreased a little bit.
We've been through a pandemic and we're in the midst of the worst economic crisis and the most rapid and frequent inflation increases I've ever had the misfortune of living through, but I've never had to worry about Afrihost.
I'm a "difficult" customer, but I had to change my review because as critical as I am of unstable corporates and their non-existent customer service, I'm also quick to applaud business excellence.
I have no idea what they're doing or what kind of system they've got in place, but all I can say is that they're doing it right. They're the one brand I'll stay loyal to no matter the cost.
