I have been with a handful of ISP’s over the years. They have all been relatively good since fibre has come due to the networks being so stable. But o will say that in terms of helpfulness and customer care, Afrihost have been really a cut above. I am fussy and I’m also in tech so I’m used to the textbook support that is geared to cover all levels of understanding. But I have been very impressed with Afrihost. Their attitude has been superb which matter more than anything. They are so keen to help wher other ISP’s often give you the “that’s just how it is” responses. Generalizing, of course, but overall I am very happy with Afrihost and don’t think I will change in a hurry. Pricing is all so similar anyway and it comes down to service.

I’ve used Afrihost for longer than I can remember. I’ve used them for adsl lines back in the day and then vdsl (I actually tested their fair use policy and made it on the top 10 highest data users in the country and not shaped or throttled once on a 20Mb vdsl line) I’ve used them for small businesses and I’ve been with their mobile data plan for years now and working in the IT industry, I’ve dealt with a lot of service providers and as a data provider.
I HIGHLY recommend Afrihost to everyone and anyone who has mtn! Use Afrihost data!
One down side is that they rely on third party companies (helkom, frogfoot and whoever) almost all the issues I’ve had are with the physical providers.
And Afrihost support has always been extremely helpful even with dealing with third parties like telkom.

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service I received from both Afrihost and Vumatel today.
A special thank you to Ricky S from Afrihost, who assisted my husband via the WhatsApp customer service portal. I work online with an international company, so resolving the issue urgently was critical. Ricky went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled swiftly and professionally — his dedication and effort truly made all the difference.
I'd also like to commend Thabang and Gift, the technicians from Vumatel, who arrived to sort out the issue. They were friendly, efficient, and incredibly tidy in their work. The problem was resolved quickly, and with zero hassle.
