I have always received the utmost care and good customer service from Afrihost. Even when I am in the wrong, they try to be most accommodating to my customer satisfaction. I applaud them for that, and I can definitely recommend them to anyone for all their services. Thanks for listening.

Afrihost is always helpful and sorts out your issues quickly. They are also very patient when you ask them dumb question LOL. I must say though I seldom have internet issues .

Incredible service backed with a system that actually works. We had used a few competitor's in the area, always having faults which could never get resolved. Afrihost is both more affordable per value fiber package and is stable with their service. Hardly ever having issues, when they occur, it is delt with swift and efficient accuracy. Highly recommend 👌🏼

Exceptional Service, Year After Year I’ve been using AfriHost for many years, both for business and personal purposes, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a single bad experience. From the quality of their products to their outstanding customer service, AfriHost has consistently exceeded my expectations. In an industry where issues can often arise, AfriHost has proven to be almost flawless. Whenever I’ve needed assistance, their support team has been quick, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. It’s rare to find a company where everything, from account management to service delivery, runs this smoothly. On top of all that, their pricing is very reasonable for the level of service they provide. I highly recommend AfriHost to anyone looking for reliable and well-priced hosting and internet services. It’s been a fantastic experience, and I will continue to be a loyal customer for years to come.

I have been struggling to find my verification code but Comfort to me through it, when I was done with that stage I was assisted by Themba K to confirm my order details and delivery very efficiently. I'm happy to be part of Afrihost.

The WhatsApp assistance team is excellent! So much easier when one can send screenshots of the actual issue instead of explaining via a phone call.

Been my isp in the adsl times, and I only left because a rival was the only one supplying fibre at my house. Moving back to afrihost now as fibre is now available through them as well. I am paying a little bit more for their service as well, so should tell you everything about what I think of them. Great company.

Way better than vuma or webafrica with regards to client feedback and transparency! Webafrica or vuma still owes me money which they refuse to refund. No way of contacting them with our being routed to different departments and still getting no answers

Had to get back to Afrihost since Frogfoot didn't receive a submission with all the necessary documents for my fibre migration application. Larry S was very quick to assist me with a resubmission from Afrihost's side.

Getting started with Pure DSL

How is Pure DSL different from other DSL products?

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

How to get connected to Pure DSL

Follow our Getting Connected guide for step-by-step instructions.

How long will it take to get connected?

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

How to check if you have Pure DSL coverage in your area

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

Will all line speeds be available in covered areas?

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If you do not have Pure DSL coverage in your area

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Shaping and prioritisation

Are your DSL packages shaped?

No, all Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

General questions

Is the price of the DSL line included in the package price?

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

Will I have to pay a setup fee?

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Do I need a copper line to use Pure DSL?

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

I do not have a copper line, can I get one installed?

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Can I use my current DSL modem?

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Will my Pure DSL package be locked to a single location?

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Can existing Afrihost DSL clients get Pure DSL?

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.

Follow our Getting Connected guide for instructions on how to get Pure DSL.

Please note that if you change from an older Afrihost DSL package to Pure DSL, you will NOT be able to change back.
