Outstanding service. Received assistance from Afrihost’s Vusi Moleti (Fibre section) who assisted me in the transition and line transfer from a previous ISP. He stayed on the phone with me and kept me updated frequently on all stages. Had issues with the previous ISP not releasing the line and was told the transfer could take up to 15 days after cancellation. Everything was sorted and up and running within 3 days from coming into contact with Vusi. Thank you Sir, you are a true master of your craft.

Service is usually really stable and not alot of issues.Sometimes the router might sign out and you need to log back in but thats no more than 1 minutes work.The team are amazing and always willing to assist where possible.I would strongly recommend afrihost!

I’m extremely happy with Afrihost. When I first moved to Vaalpark, I had tried a few ISPs to only be disappointed. Until a friend of mine recommended Afrihost. I moved over to them and haven’t regretted it a single day. They gave me everything I needed in an ISP. No speed reduction in the evenings. And honestly the best value for money. We moved over to Afrihost on a friends recommendation about 8 years ago, and have never looked back or regretted the move. A lot of ISPs are at the mercy of Fiber providers, most I would guess. AfriHost’s WhatsApp support makes it way more bearable when you are faced with delays from the Fiber provider. Thanks to Refentse M for the great support!

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
