Excellent service from Afrifost Just signed up with them, and had a problem connecting. I used there What’s up chat line and delt with Rethabile who was online with me for almost 3 hours, trying every possible method to resolve the problem, I eventually got connected and able to login to other websites, only unable to acces one site, the afrihost login webpage, which he then logged a call with the relevant department to sort out the problem. Well done Rethabile for the excellent work, and to afrihost for an effective WhatsApp chat line

I've used Afrihost since I first managed to get ADSL in our area years back, and then upgraded when fibre became available. Throughout that time, upgrading / downgrading / topping up / support / queries / fault reporting / new services , have all been super easy and painless. You don't feel like a helpless pleb in a big machine, but rather in control of your choices. Thank you Gian ( a marketing genius if ever I saw one)

Network installation was done fast and professional. Keep using Quinton and collegue from Britelink - Vumatel, he is very polite and professional, minimum messing where they worked. Very clean installation. This is for an uptime sensitive business, so I will be glad to evaluate and comment in the near future. I am a new customer with Afrihost so service still to be seen. . Afrihost is one of the better ISP's and very customer orientated. Being using different services with them over many years, LTE, hosting, Fibre, etc. and never had a challenge that they could not resolve professionally and speedily. I would highly recommend them..

For how Iong i dreamt of having my own wifi. I tried getting wifi by 2 companies (Telkom was one) and both turned me down. Afrihost assisted me plus by sending my router before i payd it. They were patient with payments and still friendly. And till today they still help with good and friendly service. For the price and service they give i give 10 stars. If it was not for them, i still would not have wifi. I love u guys!! Keep up the good work!!!

Very professional service on their WhatsApp platform. Quick response to answer queries. Clear communication about their process of fixing an internet problem due to a power outage in the area.

I've been with Afrihost since the 2020 pandemic when I started working from home full time. At the of the switch I was with another local service provider and was having consistent problems with the network. Signing on was quick and I was up and running before I needed to start my work day. They are also always an email or whatsapp message away if I need assistance or have questions about products. Definitely a company that thing of their customers as much more than just cash value.

Afrihost is always ready to help. There is not a day where I logged a request and it wasn't attended promptly. They care about their clients!

This ISP rocks. I've bounced between a few over the years and none have come close to the customer service offered by Afrihost. After using them for over 12 years I only ever encountered a few problems, but those were mostly back in the ADSL days and were sorted out really quickly. Their fibre is phenomenal. When they say "uncapped, unshaped, unthrottled" they really mean it. Our line blazes at max speed 24/7 no matter the task. Plus their mobile data offering is best in class. I just added an MTN prepaid SIM to my phone's 2nd slot and loaded their data on which made for a really inexpensive way to get more data for like a quarter the price of buying from the big players. Seriously, check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Getting started with Pure DSL

How is Pure DSL different from other DSL products?

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

How to get connected to Pure DSL

Follow our Getting Connected guide for step-by-step instructions.

How long will it take to get connected?

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

How to check if you have Pure DSL coverage in your area

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

Will all line speeds be available in covered areas?

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If you do not have Pure DSL coverage in your area

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Shaping and prioritisation

Are your DSL packages shaped?

No, all Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

Will I have to pay a setup fee?

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Do I need a copper line to use Pure DSL?

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

I do not have a copper line, can I get one installed?

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Can I use my current DSL modem?

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Will my Pure DSL package be locked to a single location?

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Can existing Afrihost DSL clients get Pure DSL?
