Not being technically savvy I followed the instructions on the wizard with some trepidation... I was still unsure so asked for help to check my configuring. Along with a few more questions such as how to get wifi to my TV and is a LAN cable the same as the Ethernet cable🤔 my questions were patiently answered I am now up and running.... thank you.. They are cost effective, and are available 24/7 and all queries are handled on wattsapo , the service is super quick and you have a portal to log any queries or if you have connectivity issues , everything is accessible on their clientzone portal , I truly recommend them

I've been dealing with Afrihost for many years now. They are a great hosting service provider at an affordable price. They have excellent support services and the walk in client centre in Rivonia is the best. I dont know of any othe SA hosting provider that still provide a face to face client centre. Please keep that direct link with the public open. In today's online world, this to me is what sets Afrihost apart from its competition. Direct, face to face support when you need it.

I’m an Afrihost customer for more than 8 years now, first with hosting, then LTe then ADSL & now fibre. Service is excellent as the WhatsApp help desk works perfectly. Their agents are well trained and ask the right questions (I’m in IT support). Minimal downtime, even with load shedding.

Afrihost is one of the few exceptional service providers in SA. I live in a very rural area with limited access to high speed comms. Afrihost's LTE sorted this problem. Delivery was speedy, troubleshooting is a joy as it can be done via WhatsApp. I would highly recommend Afrihost as preferred service provider.

Afrihost has been my service provider since fibre was installed in my area 2 years' ago. They are rarely down and are very quick to assist when I have had the odd connectivity issue. They have excellent after sales tech support. I've had no issues updated domain information or getting assistance with my website that they host. Highly recommend Afrihost.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
