Never ever have problems with these guys as everything is always working! Forgot to let them know i have re located, my roughter disconnected. Got in contact with their whatsapp chat, it was sorted within seconds! These guys know what they doing! Awesome customer service!

I used WhatsApp to communicate with Jessica S from Afrihost. The experience was a breeze she helped me every step of the way. I would highly recommend Afrihost because most companies that supply fibre you cannot get in touch with them at all if you need any assistance.

My navrae is vinnig en professioneel beantwoord. Ek wens almal wil hierdie tipe diens inbring! Dis ŉ baie oulike idee om van Whatsapp gebruik te maak om navrae te beantwoord. Great customer care service and from my experience so far, are very open and honest, especially if they are busy, it really puts ones mind at ease when the consultants communicate, and at least as a customer you know that you are not being ignored, but they will get back to you. As my job entails dealing with several clients with their business and home networks, I find Afrihost to truly be the best and most responsive ISP available. I recently assisted my daughter telephonically to reconfigure a router in another province with AfriHost support assisting simultaneously. We managed to resolve it within 10 minutes! I do have other existing services and clients using them and they have always proven themselves to be the number 1 ISP in the country.

Been with Afrihost in multiple properties since 2019 and not used anyone else since. Will recommend them all day, everyday. Not saying there aren't some issues from time to time, but they are swift with fault finding, easy fault reporting through various avenues and prioritize keeping you connected.

Service is fast. Packages are so affordable that one will think it is a scam. Well Afrihost is legit. Signal is better even though it received from another network's infrastructures. Great service.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
