This is the only ISP to provide quick answers and proper support. The only problem is the lack of fixed-IP's. Other than that the staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank for the support.

Always get timely assistance. Much better service than my previous service provider. I've been using afrihost for years for hosting and now will be switching over to theor fibre as well. Will always recommend. The WhatsApp chat function is also very easy and convenient to use.

What an amazing experience. I wanted to get Fibre for my mom in the retirement village where she's at. Quick response. I did everything online, it was easy and the customer service was impeccable! I would definitely recommend Afrihost if you need Fibre in Pretoria East region. Well done to Openserve and Afrihost!

...there are reasons why I chose Afrihost as my service provider over 8 years ago... firstly their advertising was 'catchy'... they responded swiftly when I needed them to...they provided the connectivity they promised continually...I briefly discontinued my relationship with them due to moving from Durban to Johannesburg... and the reconnection with them was absolutely hassle free...as was my move from ADSL to Fibre...I then disconnected again when I moved suburbs and experienced the same dedication that they have provided me with since the start of our relationship all those years ago...their whatsapp help line and their 'call me back' response times are mind blowing to say the least and they have an awesome 'Client Zone'. So I would like to thank EVERYONE at Afrihost for the seamless experiences I have had. This remains true to this day as I have just experienced…

After Eskom kindly load shed our power, I couldn't connect to the internet. Afrihost assisted me step by step through the reconnection process and sorted out the connection issues, and this was all done over Whatsapp with screen shots. Great service, kind assistance and over all a fantastic experience. I recommend that everyone should use afrihost as their service provider. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been an Afrihost client for a few years now. I moved across because their pricing is excellent, and when I recently needed assistance porting another number I found the support to be outstanding (quick and involving contact with a real person😁, rather than the typically rubbish automated system). I can highly recommend Afrihost.

Great service. But the admin panel could be more user-friendly, with a better UX and UI and more helpful videos and instructions on what to do. But then the WhatsApp services were great, and they helped me with all I needed. So that balances out the old User interface. Thanks ;-)

I’ve been with Afrihost for over 15 years, both for my business and personal needs. Their services are easy to use, and their client support is exceptionally quick and helpful. I’ve never encountered any issues with them or their service. Whether it’s setting up new connections or resolving queries, Afrihost has consistently delivered. Their reliable infrastructure and excellent security make them a top choice for South African web hosting and ISP. I highly recommend Afrihost!

Afrihosts Support system has been excellent, their communication with clients is taken really seriously with high priority, something I appreciated from a supplier.

Ive tried numerous internet providers over the years. Afrihost wins by far. The fibre is great and all but its the support service/structure that sets afrihost apart from its competitors.

I've been a loyal and extremely happy client of Afrihost for the past 5-6 years. I had an issue with our router and wifi the past few weeks, since moving into our new house and I can conclude that Afrihost is client focused and their core business is focused on keeping the customers happy. Thank you Afrihost. Here's to another 5 years.

Getting started with Pure DSL

How is Pure DSL different from other DSL products?

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

How to get connected to Pure DSL

Follow our Getting Connected guide for step-by-step instructions.

How long will it take to get connected?

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

How to check if you have Pure DSL coverage in your area

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

Will all line speeds be available in covered areas?

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If you do not have Pure DSL coverage in your area

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Shaping and prioritisation

Are your DSL packages shaped?

No, all Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

General questions

Is the price of the DSL line included in the package price?

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

Will I have to pay a setup fee?

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Do I need a copper line to use Pure DSL?

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

I do not have a copper line, can I get one installed?

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Can I use my current DSL modem?

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Will my Pure DSL package be locked to a single location?

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Can existing Afrihost DSL clients get Pure DSL?

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.

Follow our Getting Connected guide for instructions on how to get Pure DSL.

Please note that if you change from an older Afrihost DSL package to Pure DSL, you will NOT be able to change back.
