Many many years ago I was on Afrihost and honestly it sucked, but I recently decided to give them another try, and I have to say what a 360 degree turnaround. Support was friendly and on the ball, and friendly and willing to help. The whole experience was a stark abstract to what it was so many years ago. Well done Afrihost!

The staff are very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. I haven't had any issues with Afrihost this far and it seems the only time the connection is down is because of loadshedding but quite efficient in fixing and fast.

I woke up to a connection issue this morning and spoke to an Afrihost agent around 8am I went away and got back to my office at around 12 at which time I spoke with another agent. We reset the modem and they did their magic on that side and presto I’m online again. Thank you.

Super amazing to deal with this company. Problems almost don't seem to be problems. Fixed my issue in a flash. Been a customer for almost 6 years and only had to contact them twice for help. Both times an amazing experience, problems sorted in a flash.

I don't know what to say about Bryce, its like he was seating in my brains and understanding me to the core. His service is world-class, the level of articulations of client problems is outstanding and he even suggest solutions that clients did not even think about, meaning he has a 360 understanding or products, solutions. His problems solving skills is what amazed me, and within minutes we solved a problem that i thought was a huge one. The big attributes that he has are: Willingness to help not just because he is working, but his desire to connect and help clients and the Love for his work/job, Patience, Diligence, Great Customer Support. I can literally spend the whole day expressing the experience i felt as a customer, but there is something about him that words cannot explain. Kudos to Bryce, and Keep up the excellent work. General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
