Professional and friendly, perfect service. Been using afrihost since May 2014 and have had only good experiences. Recently got fiber through them and the application and delivery was effortless. Using there mobile data as well and it's the cheapest most reliable option in SA. Thanks Afrihost, keep up the excellent work!

So I have been with Afrihost for almost a year, it was a rocky road to be honest in the beginning (bad customer care), but all things said and looking at the entire situation as a whole - I would say the positives do out way the negatives. My biggest gripe was having to work with Openserve in trying to successfully schedule a day for Fiber installation, spoiler, four bookings were made and confirmed by Openserve, that never went anywhere, they just would not show up, regardless of the four "technicians", times or dates, they are unreliable in every sense of the word, and I would highly suggest Afrihost drop their partnership with them asap.

Don’t waste your time with any other service provider. I have been using Afrihost for over a year now and have never experienced an issue that wasn’t resolved within the hour that I reported it. Great service.

Mali has been a great help. She did not only focus on my current problem, she also checked what the next steps would be and assisted me right to the end. It has been a great experience and would recommend Afrihost.

After years of trying various ISPs: Mweb, Rain, Cool Ideas, VOX and I can go on. Afrihost is where the benchmark is set as a fibre or LTE service provider. I commend you guys, and please keep up with the good work and exceptional service delivery. Love dealing with you, and I could not fault you anything of I tried.

Would like to commend Harold from the Technical Department for the most amazing service. I had an problem with connectivity that initially did not seem like it could be resolved. Harold went the extra mile to solve the issue - nothing was too much trouble. He continued to pursue the issue over a number of days and kept me informed all along the way. In summary - what wonderful service - thank you so much.

Chatting on whatsapp or through their call back service is such a pleasure. Would not hesitate in recommending this company. No.1 for service. Wish more companies would follow their lead.

The best, all enquiries solved quickly, responce rate absolutely great. TANNER is the definition of Brilliance :D .Fairly easy platform (client zone) would recommend to anyone. I had to come back and add a few comments ;D absolutely great, tech wise am on 0, but i managed to built my own website with the aid of previous QnAs. So if a person who just knows word can do it mm just smiles. 19/12/22 Received the worst of assistance today. I was calling because my website was showing errors and and it said disc usage full in cpanel. The guy could only say they can't assist contact your web developer, I told him I created it using YouTube so I don't know what's wrong myself. Last time we had a similar problem it was resolved just aftr emailing. He advised to upgrade the package, but that's not the solution, even f I upgrade it wi still happen and you will say upgrade again. I already have 8 different packages with afrihost, I know this is busines but after so many years how can the only solution to my problem be upgrade the package clearly they are not keen on helping or just define the service provided to just 'hosting any other things its not our area'

Need help?

Getting started with Pure DSL

How is Pure DSL different from other DSL products?

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

How to get connected to Pure DSL

Follow our Getting Connected guide for step-by-step instructions.

How long will it take to get connected?

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

How to check if you have Pure DSL coverage in your area

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

Will all line speeds be available in covered areas?

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If you do not have Pure DSL coverage in your area

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Shaping and prioritisation

Are your DSL packages shaped?

No, all Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

General questions

Is the price of the DSL line included in the package price?

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

Will I have to pay a setup fee?

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Do I need a copper line to use Pure DSL?

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

I do not have a copper line, can I get one installed?

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Can I use my current DSL modem?

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Will my Pure DSL package be locked to a single location?

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Can existing Afrihost DSL clients get Pure DSL?

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.

Follow our Getting Connected guide for instructions on how to get Pure DSL.

Please note that if you change from an older Afrihost DSL package to Pure DSL, you will NOT be able to change back.
