Best experience ever! I got stuck while creating my organisation’s email and website, but Afrihost’s WhatsApp support guided me step by step until the final stage. Awesome network service, if I do have a problem it gets sorted the same day. Would recommend Afrihost to anyone and they way cheaper than your big mobile companies. On top of it if you have an Mtn sim you don't need to get an extra sim you can use all the products relating to your mobile. Thanks afrihost for the awesome service.

Outstanding service from Afrihost, consistently. After struggling with my previous fibre provider, Waiting 6 weeks for them to relocate my services to a new address, I decided to cancel and try Afrihost. I have been with Afrihost for more than 5 years. Their customer focus is unmatched. In 2020 I transferred one of my domains away from Afrihost to another service provider. Within a few months I regretted leaving Afrihost. The customer service at this new service provider was very poor, sometimes it would take a day for them to respond to queries and the only channel to lodge a query was through email. Granted, their hosting package that I wanted was a bit cheaper by about R100. I soon learned that with some services you get what you pay for. I made a decision to transfer my domain back to Afrihost for great quality of service and I'm not trusting anyone with my webhosting needs for now. Afrihost are my go to guys, where I know that issues are attended to speedily. Keep up the great service guys!

Best ISP I've ever dealt with! MWeb is useless, waited a week for any form of response, when I got a response it was to late! Because while waiting for mweb I simply downloaded the Afrihost App, added my address, selected a package, and within a day or two everything was sorted!! If I ever need any help, I simply request a callback on their App, and no longer than 5min later an agent will call me! Hands down best service ever!!!!!

The WhatsApp help service option from Afrihost is excellent. Dealt with my issue concisely. Person on the other end helping was for me the best when interacting with. Her turnaround time to providing responses was efficient and resolved my issue promptly.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
