They are the best at response time and solutions. Highly recommend them. Best internet service provider experience I've had. No waiting for hours on a call or days for an email to be responded to. Quick and efficient. I ordwred my line yeatetday evening and got it all setup this morning. I had a hiccup and once I called was resolved within less than 5min. I have battled for two days to setup my mailbox on an iphone11. Eventually I have decided to contact my service provider Afrihost on WhatsApp web and ask one of their support technicians to assist. I was really impressed with the help, and calmness from him in handling the situation. furthermore, I have learned that WhatsApp web is a much supportive tool to use in these circumstances. I've been with Afrihost since 2014 and I really enjoy dealing with them. They also treat you sometimes and give you 3 months of free this or double your fibre speed for free for a short period of time. I quite like them.

Afrihosts support team literally jump through hoops to solve problems. Whether it be as simple as advising how to reset a router or having to explain prompts to someone technologically challenged, they do not lose their cool. Cool calm and collected at all times! Their willingness to assist and solve the problem no matter how long it takes is truly something. Cannot fault the support guys and girls! Thoroughly impressed!

Never had such a great experience, end to end before. Ordered online, paid online...took 10 mins. This was at 5am. Got sms to confirm booking, I chose 8am. Got call at 8 from Openserve technician and we scheduled at 11. Technician came and all done in an hour or two. He gave me numbers to WhatsApp. I WhatsApp Afrihost to ask them to please speed up delivery of my router as I run a home business and have been having problem with my Telkom LTE. The very next day router delivered. Connected up. Had speed issue, went back on WhatsApp, chatted and resolved in 5 minutes. Highly recommend Afrihost.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
