No problems with Afrihost contrary to some other people's experiences. Maybe I'm lucky, caught their support staff on a good day or they're trying the best they can and make mistakes sometime. Anyway, based on my experiences with my current fibre line, UPS, one domain with the low end shared hosting, I have received nothing but excellent service for the amount of money I pay every month.

I joined the Afrihost family back in October of 2023. Since then, I never had issues with this organization. Always on point. Giving their best service where needed.

Frustrating network problem was fixed speedily and expertly by George M of Afrihost. No lengthy explanation was needed from my side and problem was sorted via photographs and written word. Great service by Afrihost and a definite recommendation from me!

Afrihost is the best. The 24hr customer car facility is great and well thought. I was recommended by a colleague and will gladly recommended them to anyone.

Afrihost don’t just offer competitive prices on their impressive product offer, but their customer service is unmatched. I’ve had encounters with their service since 2014 and they’ve been consistent in their excellent customer service. I’ve now just migrated my fibre SP service to Afrihost for nothing else but peace of mind. I look forward to a meaningful journey ahead for many years to come.

Greate customer services that alone makes it worth while, friendly and kind. Been with Afrihost a few years and haven't had any problems with them and when we do have inconveniences it is sorted as soon as possible.

Quick service with a polite, knowledgeable technician. Have been with Afrihost for many years and have never had an issue; from my first foray into the world of broadband with a 1Mb ADSL line until today with both fibre and LTE connections

Excellent service. I've never had any problems with my connectivity and the customer service is refreshingly efficient and reliable. I only recommend Afrihost as an ISP to others.

I didn’t expect to be assisted so quickly by an Afrihost agent and on a Sunday afternoon at that. I wish more South African companies provided this excellent level of service.

Besides the fact that I haven't had wifi for 3 weeks, Afrihost has made every effort to try and assist and resolve the issue which I appreciate. When it is working, it's a great and affordable service so hence my 5 stars.

Afrihost provides me consistently reliable internet access over fibre for the past 6 years (currently 300mbs), hosts my web site and email, and offers exceptional support over whatsapp

Tuesday 30 April 2024 My line with RSAWeb was cancelled. I've been very disappointed by their service lately. Their pricing didn't link accordingly with their service levels. Wednesday 01 May 2024 I signed up with Supersonic. Chose my package, submitted my documents, everything. Thursday 02 May 2024 The entire morning I was battling to get confirmation from Supersonic regarding my order. I phoned, but no answer. I sent WhatsApp messages, no reply. I cancelled my order with Supersonic. Thursday 02 May 2024 I signed up with Afrihost. My fiber line was activated same day and my router arranged. Friday 03 May After I failed to connect the router for WiFi, Afrihost assisted me to connect my existing router so we can have WiFi while waiting for the new router. Quick and effective assistance received. Monday 06 May I received my router. I had challenges with the settings and Ricky took me step by step via WhatsApp. I'm sorted and everything is in order. I haven't experienced this level of service in a very long time. Afrihost is the service provider you need. Their service levels are very high, support staff are quick and efficient. They easily get a 10/10 rating from me. I have faster Mbps at a cheaper rate with Afrihost and excellent service on top of it. That's a powerful combination to have 💪🏽💯

Getting started with Pure DSL

How is Pure DSL different from other DSL products?

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

How to get connected to Pure DSL

Follow our Getting Connected guide for step-by-step instructions.

How long will it take to get connected?

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

How to check if you have Pure DSL coverage in your area

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

Will all line speeds be available in covered areas?

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If you do not have Pure DSL coverage in your area

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Shaping and prioritisation

Are your DSL packages shaped?

No, all Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

I do not have a copper line, can I get one installed?

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Can I use my current DSL modem?

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Will my Pure DSL package be locked to a single location?
