Afrihost is a second away of solving your internet issues, it’s been years with them I have never encountered a problem they couldn’t resolve in a space of a minute. I like their services is the best. One comment please allow other debit dates not only end of the month

Had a less than ideal experience with someone from support because they immediately thought they were addressing my issue instead of listening. I then called back and was met with someone else who took the time to ask questions 1st to fully understand the issue before working on the solution and hence knocking it out of the park.

Got great service today on 25 August 2020 from Timothy from the fiber department. He took my number and called me back as he promised and gave me feedback about my request. Have been with Afrihost for a few years now and they are one of the best service providers you will find in SA. Again thanks to Timothy who provided outstanding customer support.

They are very fast and efficient, they resolve any issues to get you up and running in no time, very stable and reliable ISP. Might be a bit more expensive than their competitors, but the service delivery makes it worth every penny. I have never struggled with an issue for longer than 20 minutes during all the years using them as my ISP, come weekends and even public holidays. More ISP's should strive for this excellence.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
