I had a wonderful experience today when I made use of the WhatsApp function to help me with our business account. We thank Kaitlyn who understood the problem I was having without me even knowing what it was. She assisted and had given me step by step instructions to rectify the reason for the problem. Not once did I feel stupid as she translated into better terminology explaining what I needed to know and I thank her for it. Initially the thought of how we were going to fix the issue was daunting as it was a back and forth between myself and the web developers until I bit the bullet and asked Afrihost to help. I wish I had just done it sooner instead of wasting time. May you all have a lovely day.

What great customer service and a warm welcoming experience at the head office. Felt like I was at a business lounge. The friendly lady at reception, made a great cappuccino, and Braydon went out of his way to help me, while I was enjoying my coffee .. I am pleasantly surprised.

Best internet experience since joining Afrihost 3 months ago after being with Telkom for may years. Their client service via WhatsApp is outstanding. Not holding on for minutes to talk to an agent and passed from one to another. One stop problem resolution.

Afrihost is hands down the best service provider I’ve ever dealt with! I recently had to move my line, and from the moment I placed the request right through to the installation and connection, the entire process was seamless and stress-free. I was assisted by Nomvuyiso via WhatsApp, and the service I received was outstanding. He was professional, patient, and incredibly helpful, explaining everything clearly and guiding me through the process step by step. It’s rare to experience such excellent customer service these days, and Afrihost truly exceeded my expectations. I honestly can’t see myself using any other service provider again. Highly recommended!

I have been with Afrihost since they started for first Adsl and now fibre . I have always been very happy with their good service. We have had very few problems over the years and when we have had the odd intermittent issue, they have resolved it immediately. Their WhatsApp chat platform is very effective. Very happy with Afrihost, since 2018. Every few months they upgrade our fibre speed without charging more. Customer service is also top notch. Got a free router upgrade this week too. Keep it up.

You may pay a little more for their services, but that "little extra" speaks volumes when you need support. I've been with them for years and I've yet to be let down by them, their services and/or their team.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
