Mpho.b stayed on the line with me from 4:20pm to 7pm! Well past normal hours. He was tenacious and tried various things to get my service working. As a non-IT person, he was clear and patient with my fumblings. I had a complex issue and he managed to resolve it. Thank you! Also LOVE the whatsapp channel for fault finding. I would like to thank the support agent Veronica C for all her assistance yesterday. she went beyond the call of duty to ensure my fibre was reconnected after 6 days of downtime due to failure on vodacoms side. I called in at 4:55pm, Veronica finishes work at 5pm. I live 1km away from my residence, she waited for me to get home to finalize the configuration. whilst waiting for me to get home she called her husband to advise him that she is going to be late to fetch her baby from creche and made arrangements for him to do it. I felt really bad for this. however as soon as i got home, the config was done and up and running within a minutes. Veronica is definitely an asset to Afrihost and went beyond the call of duty to ensure excellent customer service. Well done Veronica.

I've been with other ISPs before but AfriHost is by far the best. 100 out of 10 do recommend😊. Reponse rate: almost at the speed of light They're professional and friendly. You don't even have to call in because guess what? Whatsapp chat is available 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 (preferred and recommended ).

Been with Afrihost for some time and I always suggest Afrihost as the Fibre provider to other potential clients. No billing issues and easy to use. The only 'complaint' is that the cost of Fibre is very high but that is probably the Provider Vumatel

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
