I’d like to commend the support I received. The representative quickly recognized that I’m familiar with routers and computers, and went the extra mile by thoroughly testing my internet connection. He provided clear instructions for running trace routes, asked me to share screenshots of the results, and performed additional checks to ensure the issue was properly addressed.

Best MTN data option. If you are with MTN would highly recommend buying your mobile data through Afrihost. Far better bang for your buck, been buying my data through Afrihost since 2016

Placed an order for fibre on 06th July and fully set up on 12th July. Literally 6 days later, I'm super impressed with Afrihost & Vumatel and look forward to a good journey with both companies. I've been with Afrihost for about 9 years in different forms. I took out their early mobile data solution and always had good service. I was also on their web hosting solution for a while with great service and helpful agents. We now have our family's data plans through Afrihost as well as our Fiber. There is no company more dedicated to being helpful - even if their side has issues. What I really appreciate is that they run an open com's line for their issues. Instead of you having to ask if there is something wrong, check their website and the status of the connection of your area, or your data, or your product. Afrihost is brilliant.

We've been with Afrihost/ Vumatel since 2019 - Pleasant service, no hassles, reliable internet connection at all times, I don't recall being without Internet, even with loadshedding and our UPS, our line and experience has been nothing but perfect. General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
