Not being technically savvy I followed the instructions on the wizard with some trepidation... I was still unsure so asked for help to check my configuring. Along with a few more questions such as how to get wifi to my TV and is a LAN cable the same as the Ethernet cable🤔 my questions were patiently answered I am now up and running.... thank you.. There us absolutely no ISP that even comes close to Afrihost. Quality, Service, Products even the Application itself. User friendly and helpful experience from installion to the 3 years as a customer. I have never been offline or had trouble. As an IT Specialist, I wish they were around 10 years ago when I was a 3rd party ISP to my customers.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the WhatsApp Helpline works so well😮. I received a prompt reply from Geraldo, a friendly, polite and efficient consultant. Definitely recommend AfriHost as a service provider😊. Professional, fast and efficient from order and installation, right up to after-sales service😃. And the prices are so reasonable, really a great offer for anyone wanting fibre.

Used afrihost in the past. Excellent service. Trying to setup a router and default went to Afrihost. Getting support over a weekend was great. If possible ill migrate back to them

So far so good Afrihost - I am impressed with your client service and promise delivery - highly recommended - real time response and on the ball first line tech support. I just wish my current complex allowed me to use Afrihost. Instead I am forced to use another service provider.

General terms

Although we endeavour to keep our coverage data as accurate as possible, we are reliant on the maps provided to us by Openserve, which may sometimes have slight inaccuracies.
The advertised line speeds are a representation of the maximum possible throughput on that package. This speed is dependent on and varies from exchange to exchange as regulated by Openserve. In certain areas, some speeds are not achievable.
Due to Openserve infrastructure restrictions, some line speeds may not be available in your area. Check coverage in your area to see which packages are available in your area.
All Pure DSL packages are subject to an Acceptable Use Policy.
Pure DSL accounts are locked to a single location. The location it gets locked to is the location you supply during sign up.
Regular Openserve copper line required to apply for a Pure DSL package. A voice line, however, is not required.
Performance is subject to contention. This means that data speeds and latency may be affected by factors outside of Afrihost’s control or demand for bandwidth at any given time.

Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

Getting started with Pure DSL

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Yes, the price you see is the price you pay! All Pure DSL packages are bundled, so the price is for both your data and the line rental, all-inclusive.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.

Yes, Pure DSL packages are locked to a single location.

Yes, existing Afrihost DSL clients can sign up for Pure DSL.

Please note, however, that Pure DSL is a service separate from your existing DSL Internet. You’ll have to sign up for a new package via our website and Openserve will have to install new DSL services at your premises.
