I was once a customer of Afrihost for a number of years when I purchased my first property and all those years of having them as an ISP were splendid. I then went onto a different fibre provider because Afrihost wasn't available as a fibre ISP in that area. Now that I've moved to a new loaction, my first thought was to contact Afrihost for internet connectivity. And oh boy, they sure kept to their standard of excellent customer service I experienced all those years ago. Thank you for keeping the culture of excellence after all these years of the companies growth and success. Well done! Afrihost is the blueprint of ISP excellence in South Africa 🇿🇦.

I contacted Afrihost on WhatsApp and I was assisted by Neo M, I was bit confused about my order; he clarified everything, took me through all the steps. Afrihost doesn't only offer best services but hires passionate individuals. I'm happy with Afrihost 😎🤗.

Always a positive experience. Extremely quick to respond to whatsapp chats, service delivery is definitely above average and I always recommend them to anyone enquiring about using this service provider. It's not often that a company meets my high standards. Well done guys!

We've had several services from Afrihost and I've never had any issues. Their after sale service is FANTASTIC! I will always try to take a service from them, because what they sell, is what you get!

Afrihost is the company that breaks the stigma regarding Network/Internet Service Providers. Definitely the most outstanding service I've ever received from any *SERVICE* provider. 15 out of 10 Guys!!

Took a bit of back and forth between Afrihost and Octotel. At the end of the 3 days, I had my WiFi on the go again. Thank you Musa, Wayde and Themba

It's always such a pleasure dealing with all Afrihost consultants. Though we were texting, I could sense the tone of sincerity with Phumeza. The problem isn't an Afrihost one, but she went beyond to assist me and report the matter to VumaTel as well as getting me my reference number. Thank you

I qualified IT professional (Master's Degree). Still one of the best services providers. Sure, they cost slightly more than say their 'sister' company BUT if you need to understand, when it comes to security... they are doing it right. Don't use an ISP which do not offer Two-Factor [at the very least] Authentication. Highly recommended.

As a client I was truly satisfied and really happy with Afrihost unfortunately I can no longer make use of their services which is quite sad in itself. I can recommend Afrihost any day as the company is a really good and really reliable services provider. Their staff are always friendly and helpful and quick to assist and resolve any issues. Thank you for the many good years Afrihost and blessings for future endeavors to you.

I have had great service from the Afrihost walk-in centre in Rivonia Road. My experience was only with LTE and the staff were very helpful and courteous. I am streaming ('Teeveeing' - live UK TV) and using movie streaming apps. I started using an older ZTE router but soon changed to the recommended TP-Link unit. I also started off with the 20mbps package but again it was smoothly increased this to 50mbps. I have now found 3 other local residents who are paying R699pm for speeds they don't need and who would also like to save R400pm using LTE. The attitude of fibre-only companies who insist that they cannot reduce speed and cost for existing fibre users, will bite them in the backside as long as alternatives are around.

Effective, efficient, dealing with them via WhatsApp chat so easy, love when they also send messages about outages and when it's restored. Highly recommend choosing Afrihost paired with Openserve.

Getting started with Pure DSL

How is Pure DSL different from other DSL products?

Unlike regular DSL, you do NOT need to pay for a voice landline that you don’t even use. With Pure DSL you only pay for the DSL line rental and data - saving you more than R200 every month!

How to get connected to Pure DSL

Follow our Getting Connected guide for step-by-step instructions.

How long will it take to get connected?

Once you’ve signed up for a Pure DSL package, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

Checking Pure DSL coverage

How to check if you have Pure DSL coverage in your area

Use our Coverage Tool to check if DSL is available in your area.

Will all line speeds be available in covered areas?

No, not all line speeds will be available in all covered areas. This is because of infrastructure restrictions on Openserve’s side. Please use our Coverage Tool to check which packages are available in your area.

If you do not have Pure DSL coverage in your area

If DSL is not available in your area, we’ll check if any of our other data solutions are available. You can also choose to give us your details and we’ll let you know as soon as one of our Internet solutions becomes available in your area.

Shaping and prioritisation

Are your DSL packages shaped?

No, all Pure DSL packages are uncapped, unshaped and unthrottled. There are no usage thresholds so you can use as much data as you like, whenever you like. No throttling or shaping will be applied.

No, if you sign up with Pure DSL today, we will cover the setup fee of R999. Please note that this is a limited offer and Afrihost reserves the right to change this at any time.

Yes, you’ll need an existing copper line at your premises to connect to Pure DSL. You do not, however, need to pay for voice line rental to get connected to Pure DSL. You only need to pay for the DSL line rental and data.

Please note that because Pure DSL is a separate service from regular DSL, Openserve will have to install the new DSL services at your premises. This can take up to 14 working days.

I do not have a copper line, can I get one installed?

Unfortunately Openserve will NOT do any new installations of copper lines.

Can I use my current DSL modem?

Yes, you can use any DSL-ready Wi-Fi modem with Pure DSL. Need a new modem? Check out our DSL Modems and Wi-Fi page for more information.
