General terms

1. The competition is organised and promoted by Afrihost SP (Pty) Ltd. and Bedfordview Athletics.
2. The competition is open to all people over the age of 18.
3. Competition entries are only valid if received during the competition period (11 August 2021 - 26 September 2021), submitted in accordance with the competition instructions and on the specified platforms.
4. If you are an employee of Afrihost (or its parent, subsidiaries or any affiliated company) or are otherwise associated with the competition or prize draw, you and any member of your family or any agent are not eligible to enter.
5. By entering the competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions.
6. The prize may itself be subject to certain terms and conditions, such as adherence to Afrihost's General Terms and Acceptable Usage Policy. The winner is solely responsible for complying with such terms and conditions.
7. The winner will be responsible for any additional costs incurred in taking advantage of their prize, such as collection, etc.
8. If the winner is chosen and there are noted irregularities (i.e. the email address or person does not exist, is not delivered to a person, or is forwarded to a person with a different identity etc.) the winner will be disqualified and a new winner will be drawn.
9. If the winner is chosen and is found to be in payment arrears; fails to submit required legal validation, RICA or payment verification; or has any other noted irregularity or breach of Afrihost's Terms and Conditions, they will be disqualified and a new winner will be drawn.
10. Any entries received after the closing date or time will be invalid. Afrihost accepts no responsibility for any errors of any other kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of an entry, or for delayed or lost entries.
11. If we cannot get hold of any prize winner, we reserve the right to pick another.
12. All entries will be examined and the prize shall be awarded to the winner selected by Afrihost from all eligible participants who have correctly entered the competition in accordance with entry instructions. No dispute will be entered into.
13. The winners will be notified via email or phone call, and the prizes will be issued as soon as possible.
14. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Prizes are not transferable.
15. Afrihost reserves the right to substitute any prize for another prize of like value at any time and for any reason.
16. The prize may itself be subject to certain terms and conditions. The winner is solely responsible for complying with such terms and conditions.
17. Entrants may enter multiple times, providing each individual entry complies with the rules of the competition and the rules of the social media platform.
18. Details of the winners will be made available upon request to those enclosing a stamped addressed envelope (Afrihost, PO Box 5116, Rivonia, Johannesburg, 2128) within six weeks.
19. Afrihost reserves the right to cancel or change the promotion at any time and will endeavour to give you advance notice of any such change or withdrawal. However, in some cases, advance notice may not be possible.
20. Participants accept that if they breach these rules they will be disqualified and their prizes will be revoked even if the prize has been issued prior to discovering breach of terms.
21. Under no circumstances will Afrihost (or its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion or the prize.
22. Any problems arising from failing to claim a voucher correctly or failing to claim the voucher before the expiry date will not constitute automatic liability on the part of Afrihost, and Afrihost will consider such disputes on a case by case basis at their discretion.
23. Winners are required to provide Afrihost with a Copy of their ID (South African Identification Document) or Passport to receive their prize.
24. Winners are required to provide Afrihost a picture of themselves prior to the issuing of the prize and also, where applicable, (with their prize, if applicable) within 7 days of receipt of the prize. Afrihost reserves the right to withhold the prize should the winner fail to adhere to the instructions provided in terms of the picture required. Failure to do so will constitute a breach of the terms and conditions and thus your prize will be revoked.
25. The winner agrees that Afrihost may use their image provided for marketing and informational purposes in perpetuity.
26. The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Pre-Race Competition

1. All general competition terms and conditions, as stated above, apply to this competition.
2. Pre-Race Competition entries are only valid if received during the race registration period (11 Aug 2021 - 17 September 2021), submitted in accordance with the competition instructions and on the specified platforms.
3. Entrants must first register for the 15km Boroughs of Bedfordview race via the registration website - https://www.entryninja.com/events/76941-boroughs-of-bedfordview.
4. Once registered, entrants must post a creative photo via Facebook of their running shoes that shows their excitement for the Boroughs of Bedfordview race.
5. Images, videos and social media posts submitted as entries must include the handle @afrihost, @bedfordviewathletics and #bedfordboroughs.
6. Images, videos and social media posts submitted as entries must be publicly visible for the entire competition period. If the user’s privacy settings prevent the post from being viewed, this may result in disqualification.
7. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees that all rights to the image created will remain with Afrihost.
8. All entries will be put into a random draw to win 1 of 5 JBL Go 2 bluetooth speakers.
9. Winners will be announced weekly via the Bedfordview Athletics Facebook page.

Race Weekend Competition

1. All general competition terms and conditions, as stated above, apply to this competition.
2. Race Weekend Competition entries are only valid if received during the race period (24 September 2021 - 26 September 2021), submitted in accordance with the competition instructions and on the specified platforms.
3. Entrants must post a photo via Facebook of themselves wearing the race t-shirt or Afrihost socks. The photo can be before, during or after the race.
4. Images, videos and social media posts submitted as entries must include the handle @afrihost, @bedfordviewathletics and #bedfordboroughs.
5. Images, videos and social media posts submitted as entries must be publicly visible for the entire competition period. If the user’s privacy settings prevent the post from being viewed, this may result in disqualification.
6. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees that all rights to the image created will remain with Afrihost.
7. All entries will be put into a random draw to win various JBL prizes or Afrihost account credit.
8. All entries with Vuma Reach products are EXCLUDED form winning Afrihost Credit. This is because billing for these products are not handled by Afrihost and thus credit cannot be applied to these products.
9. Winners will be announced via the Bedfordview Athletics Facebook page.
