Afrihost makes changes to Capped ADSL offering

We have revised our Capped ADSL packages and implemented a new Platinum product for heavy data users. The current packages have also undergone some revision with 20GB, 30GB and 40GB products now available.
The changes ensure that users have more variety and that a wider number of applications are accounted for. The new-look ADSL products also cater for a number of budgets. A Bronze 1GB package will cost clients R29pm while a 200GB Platinum product retails at R1900pm (the cost of 1GB in this package is R9.50).
The capped products all allow ten concurrent connections, user top-ups through CientZone and unshaped bandwidth. Another major feature of our offering is that Capped ADSL clients will not be tied in to long-term contracts. Any upgrades, downgrades, cancellations or package amendments can be made with minimal notice periods.

Afrihost cuts hosting data overage rates by up to 76%

Afrihost clients will have heavier wallets as the company announced a major price slash on hosting data. Clients who have shared, cloud, dedicated or rack hosting products will benefit with savings of up to 76% (package dependent) on data transfer overage.
Data transfer overage will be charged at the following rates:
• Shared hosting (Linux and Windows): reduced from R30 per GB to R7 per GB
• Cloud hosting: reduced from R15 per GB to R7 per GB
• Dedicated hosting: reduced from R15 per GB to R7 per GB
• Rack hosting: reduced from R15 per GB to R12 per GB
The new price structure is effective from 1 March 2012 and is valid for new and existing clients.
