Our Affiliate program allows you to place links or banners on your website or in your newsletters that will help you refer clients to us. This means that your users and visitors will have an opportunity through you to register a domain name and host a website through us - thereby getting "the Best Web hosting Ever!" If a web hosting sale is generated through your link, we pay you a commission of R200!

What does it mean to be an "Affiliate"?
Affiliate Programs are in essence partnerships between businesses and people looking to make money out of selling appropriate products through referrals. It is innovative and convenient for both the business and the affiliate. The business mobilizes a different marketing force. The affiliate resells a product, which they get paid a commission for. Affiliate programs are currently contributing to one of the fastest growing segments of Internet commerce. Affiliate programs can also be referred to as associate, partner or referral programs.
How can I earn the most money as an Afrihost.com Affiliate?
The most effective way to get people to click on your affiliate link is through a personal endorsement. The best way to get the most click-throughs on your link is to include the link in your normal website content as well as banners. Text links work far more effectively than banner adverts. If you are hosted by us you can put a text link on your site saying “Hosted by Afrihost.com – The Best Web Hosting Ever”
Is there a minimum number of sales I need to refer?
No! Not only is it free to become an affiliate there is no minimum number of sales required to become or remain an affiliate. It’s simple – the more referrals you make the more money you earn!
Do I have to pay to become an affiliate?
No - we pay you for referrals! There are absolutely no fees to be a Afrihost.com Affiliate.
Where should I place the links on my site?
You can place links wherever you like on your site – Obviously the more visitors see it the more will visit our site and the more will sign up and the more money you will earn!
Do I have to have a website hosted with Afrihost.com to become an affiliate?
No! You don’t have to be hosting your website with us. You can be hosting anywhere in the world and still be one of our affiliates.
How much will I get paid?
Afrihost.com will pay you R200 for each and every new web hosting package generated from the Afrihost.com link on your site or in your emails you send. We will also pay you R20 for every client that signs up from an Affiliate who found out about our Affiliate program from you. i.e. if someone clicks on our link from your site and then signs up for our Affiliate program you will then make R20 every time they refer someone who buys a hosting package from us!
How often will I get paid?
Afrihost.com will pay commissions once a month. The payments are made once the person who signs up makes their payment (either by Debit order, Internet transfer or Credit Card) If a lead is not paid you will be able to see the full reason in your Affiliate Control Panel.
NOTE: A minimum R200 commission will be paid out. If your commission does not total R200 or more, the balance will be carried forward to next month's commission total.
When DON'T I get paid?
When an initial sale is made the R200 commission will be marked as ‘pending’ (you can see full monthly reports in your Affiliate Control Panel). As soon as payment is received from the customer you referred the status will change from ‘pending’ to ‘approved’ and that money will be paid to you in your monthly payment. If for some reason the client does not pay or cancels the commission will be ‘rejected’. Reasons will always be given.
In what currency do I get paid?
All commissions are paid in South African Rand.
How do I get paid?
We will transfer your commission directly into your bank via an Internet Transfer (for South African bank accounts) – simply log into your control panel and update your bank details. Alternately we will post you a Cheque.
What Afrihost packages will I get paid for when a referral signs up?
You will get paid R200 for any full web hosting package that is signed up i.e. For any of the Linux or Microsoft Hosting options (Options A,B and C and Windows A,B and C)

Who qualifies to become a Afrihost.com Affiliate?
Anybody who wishes to make money reselling web hosting is eligible to become an Afrihost.com Affiliate. This means that if you a) Have a website b) Have an email newsletter c) Want to use Search Engine Pay per click advertising you can become an affiliate. If you can get people to click your affiliate link then you can become an affiliate and make money.
NOTE: THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF SITES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN AFRIHOST'S AFFILIATE PROGRAM: ADULT SITES, SITES THAT DISPLAY ADULT BANNERS, SITES THAT PROMOTE VIOLENCE, BIGOTRY, OR HATRED, SITES THAT PROMOTE ILLEGAL ACTIVITY INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WAREZ, CRACKING, AND HACKING SITES.
Can I send emails with my affiliate link to people?
Yes – Provided they are part of a legitimate Opt-in Newsletter or mailing list of your. SPAM is no way allowed and will not be tolerated. If any affiliate spams then their affiliate account will immediately be suspended and no commissions will be paid.
I operate more than one website. Can I still be an Affiliate?
Yes! You can place your affiliate link on as many of your Webpages as you like. The more links you have, the greater the chances of increasing your commission.
How will you track referrals from my site?
Each time a visitor comes to our site by clicking your affiliate link the affiliate tracking system registers your Affiliate ID on their computer with a cookie. This allows us to track them for the next year! Thus if someone finds our site through you and comes back to our website much later and signs up you will still be credited with the sale!
How do I know how much I have earned?
You will be given a username and a password and will be able to access your Affiliate Control Panel to obtain information on the number of impressions and click-throughs you have generated, as well as commissions earned.
If an affiliate sale is not tracked, what could be the reason?
The only way an affiliate sale does not get tracked is if the customer does not have cookies enabled in their browser. Cookies MUST be enabled for the tracking to work correctly. Also if a user regularly deletes the cookies on his computer then the tracking will also not work if he later returns to our site after deleting his cookies. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this :( However, the vast majority of Internet Browsers do have cookies installed by default and do not delete their cookies.
